The Tiaki Promise. Anyone familiar with New Zealand will know that the number of visitors to this beautiful country keeps growing. More tourists from overseas come here to enjoy the natural environment, but also Kiwis are spending more time travelling around their own country.

The Tiaki Promise is an initiative launched by tourism leaders in November 2018 to help all travellers to New Zealand/Aotearoa care for our country. It is the responsibility of those who live in and visit Aotearoa to care for all aspects of what makes it so special – the people, the place and the culture. The Tiaki Promise is a commitment to do so – promising to protect and preserve our home.

Tiaki in te reo Māori means to care and protect and to look after people and place.

At Sounds Connection, caring for the environment we live and work in takes priority. We are proud to support the Tiaki Promise to increase awareness of the need to care for our country.
