You will receive a refund if you cancel your booking, but we may have to charge a fee unless otherwise agreed with us. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund any cancellations made within 48 hours of departure.
Sounds Connection offers land and ocean-based activities as such with any tour, there are inherent elements of risks involved that could include, but are not limited to:

The New Zealand WorkSafe Adventure Activity Register does not include activities for which a Maritime document is required and we are fully compliant with Maritime New Zealand's Operator Safety System.
Sounds Connection tour guides/drivers are all internally trained, encouraged to hold a first aid certificate, and operate tours with our customer’s safety at the forefront and to minimise these risks. We also work with several third-party suppliers including but not limited to cellar doors and public venues.
The staff and management of Sound’s Connection take all practicable steps to identify and minimise potential hazards/risks. However, you must follow our instructions and always use any safety equipment provided. Adults accompanying any person under the age of 18 must ensure that the underage person follows our instructions at all times. Sounds Connection staff reserve the right to terminate the tour / your participation whenever your safety becomes compromised.
Sounds Connection has been safely and ethically operating for over 30 years; we have a highly trained expert staff and we will take all reasonable and practicable steps to brief you of anticipated conditions specific to your tour before departure, and to ensure your safety once aboard our vehicles and vessel.
Sounds Connection makes every effort to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. Our vessel fleet complies with all Maritime New Zealand requirements for passenger vessels and all vessels are independently surveyed through a strict accreditation process. Our skipper holds the relevant qualifications for operating our vessel MV Tory.
Our land-based fleet complies with Land Transport requirements for passenger vehicles with all vehicles undergoing a 6-monthly safety check through independent testing. All vehicle staff hold the appropriate licences and passenger endorsements.
Throughout the company, the health and safety of passengers and staff is taken seriously. We have company policies for vessel and vehicle staff with ongoing training and awareness programmes in place.
Our fleet – from boats to vehicles – is regularly serviced and offers optimal safety features. We gain feedback from guests and staff and seek to make changes where practicable. We keep up to date on the latest safety regulations and advice to ensure we follow best practice.
